The Resize tool
The Resize tool (hotkey F) allows users to resize a shape before the stroke is applied, preventing the stroke from deforming. Because this tool acts upon the shape nodes, the resulting animation will be a Morph animation.
New SVG export options
The latest release of Expressive Animator brings two new SVG export options: Size mode and the Original image format option.
The Size mode option gives users two choices: Responsive and Fixed. As the name suggests, the Fixed option will export an SVG image with a fixed size, while the Responsive option will export an SVG image that takes the size of its container.
The Original image format option allows users to export SVGs that keep the embedded raster images unmodified. The other two options are PNG and WEBP, which will encode all embedded raster images to PNG and WEBP, respectively.
Trial reset
The current release of Expressive Animator brings a new trial reset, which allows all users, including those who previously started a trial, to try the newly added features.
In-app trial
Starting with the previous version, v1.2.0, users no longer need to create an account to try Expressive Animator. You can simply download the software and click on the Start Trial button.
